How to Achieve Happiness
· Forgive.
Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Stop holding on to what you and others have done in the past – no matter how painful or great it has been.
· PMA (Positive Mental Attitude)
If you believe in something, if you REALLY believe in something, don’t you try to hold on to it, and defend it at any cost? Why not believe in yourself. Keep your emotions up, at any cost. If you are experiencing high vibes and a lot of joy, it is very hard for things to go wrong. IT IS VERY HARD TO CATCH COLDS OR GET SICK
· Meditation
Take some take everyday to sit quietly, and observe your thoughts. 5-10 minutes is sufficient if you don’t already have a traditional practice. The best times are when you wake up, or before you go to sleep. Enjoy sitting with yourself – because if you can’t – others can’t either!
· Exercise
Find some form of physical movement that you enjoy, and do it. Hiking, walking, weight lifting, skiing, hatha yoga, stretching, whatsoever it may be. When you exercise, you help to purify your physical body and mind – which is especially needed because of what we do to our bodies and minds. Without exercise, we become lazy, ill, and unproductive. This is not the way to happiness!
· Relationships
Having poor relationships with others is not efficient. One needs to learn how to be productive within families, jobs, and friendships. Our relationship with others is a huge reflection of our relationship with ourselves.
· Expression
It is of utmost importance that an individual finds a way to express himself. Through self-expression, one learns to channel and release energy in a productive manner, for all the world to see. Examples are music, art, writing, film, or even spiritual practice.
